HILLSIDE HAVEN

This project aims to create a “borgo” an Italian term for a self sustaining community in an unoccupied part of town by utilizing existing building facades and relocating them to the selected site. Working in teams of 2 this part focuses on the commercial space to foster social connections and job opportunities to those living in the residential sector. The site has integrated outdoor amphitheater steps designed for a place to sit in the community and enjoy the vibrant surroundings. The structure focuses on a non-destructive and multi functional use of the space when challenged with the towns hilly topography. Overall designing a space that seamlessly integrates the interior with the exterior, fostering a vibrant and interconnected community atmosphere
